محمدعلی شیخ و کتابخانۀ ملی از نگاه اسناد آرشیوی (بازخوانی یک همکاری کوتاه‌مدت)

چکیده
کتابخانۀ ملی ایران از بدو تأسیس در سال 1316ش. تاکنون، علاوه بر اینکه اکثر مدیران و رؤسای آن شخصیت‌های برجسته و فاخری بودند؛ کارمندان، کارشناسان و متخصصان فرهیخته‌ای دیگری را نیز در کارنامه‌اش دارد که در مقطعی میزبان آنها بوده است. یکی از این شخصیت‌های فرهیخته و دانشمند شادروان دکتر محمدعلی شیخ (1308-1396) است که در زمان سکانداری کتابخانۀ ملی ایران توسط استاد ایرج افشار، حدود یک سال و هشت ماه (1341-1343) در بخش نسخ خطی کتابخانۀ ملی با استاد انوار در کتابخانه ملی ایران همکاری نموده و در انتشار جلد اول فهرست نسخ خطی نقش کلیدی داشته است. در این راستا اسنادی در پروندۀ دکتر محمدعلی شیخ در ادارۀ بایگانی «مدیریت منابع انسانی و پشتیبانی» دانشگاه شهید بهشتی موجود است که قطعاً در تدوین تاریخچۀ کتابخانۀ ملی ایران حائز اهمیت است. معرفی و ارائه این اسناد در این نوشتار، تقارن حضور سه شخصیت برجستۀ کتابخانۀ ملی ایران (استاد ایرج افشار، استاد سیدعبدالله انوار و استاد محمدعلی شیخ) را در سال‌های 1341 و 1342 - که آخر سال‌های فعالیت کتابخانۀ ملی ایران در ذیل وزارت فرهنگ و هنر است - به نمایش گذاشته است.

This article examines the archival records concerning the collaboration of Mohammad-Ali Sheikh, a renowned figure of contemporary Iran, with the National Library of Iran during the period spanning 1962 to 1963. Since its establishment in 1937, the National Library has not only been distinguished by its eminent directors but has also benefited from the contributions of numerous erudite staff and specialists who have served at various times. Among these influential figures is Mohammad-Ali Sheikh (1929–2017). Under the directorship of Iraj Afshar, Sheikh collaborated with Seyyed Abdollah Anvar in the Manuscripts Department for approximately one year and eight months (1962–1964), playing a pivotal role in the publication of the first volume of the Catalogue of Manuscripts.
Sheikh’s archival file, preserved in the Archives of the Human Resources and Support Management Office at Shahid Beheshti University, is of great significance for compiling the institutional history of the National Library and understanding its relationship with prominent national figures. By introducing and analyzing these documents, the present study highlights the convergence of three leading personalities of the National Library—Iraj Afshar, Seyyed Abdollah Anvar, and Mohammad-Ali Sheikh—during 1962 and 1963. This period coincides with the final years of the library's operation under the Ministry of Culture and Art.
These documents attest to the engagement of a distinguished scholarly and cultural figure within the National Library, a matter of considerable historical importance. Accordingly, following a brief overview of Mohammad-Ali Sheikh’s life and career, this paper revisits and analyzes the archival records related to his tenure at the National Library.
